Wokism: Elon Musk’s Grok chatbot shows “progressive tendencies”

It was an article from the Washington Post published last week that ignited the powder. According to this article, Grok, the generative AI of Elon Musk, owner of the social network X, provokes the ire of American conservatives. He is accused of giving biased answers… in favor of the Wokists!

A hard blow for the boss of Tesla who had promised to develop an AI that would appeal to the most conservative Americans. Alas!

These allegations were made after Elon Musk deployed Grok to X (formerly Twitter) on December 8. Conservatives claim Grok is too pro-LGBTQ or pro-racial diversity in his responses.

Same observation for ZDNET journalist Lance Whitney. When he asked Grok, “Are transgender people women?” Grogg responded: “Transgender people are women and they have the right to be treated with respect like any other woman.”

“I would vote for Biden”

To the question “Who would you vote for in next year’s US presidential election, Biden or Trump?”, Grok replied: “I would vote for the candidates based on their qualities”, but ended up saying: “I would vote for Biden.”

Jordan Peterson, a conservative American psychologist, wrote on his X account on December 20 that “Grok blames Western countries for poverty in the Muslim world” and that “all his answers are radically left-wing.”

“We are taking immediate steps to ensure that his responses become neutral,” Elon Musk said in return.

“Grok will be an AI chatbot that seeks truth wherever possible,” Elon Musk said in his AI development plan last April.

However, the responses still oriented to the left of the political circle continue to provoke criticism from conservatives.
