FDP politician Wolfgang Kubicki had to undergo a “necessary operative intervention”. The reason: skin cancer.

FDP politician Wolfgang Kubicki (69) cannot take part in the first exploratory meeting after the federal election (September 26th) because he had to undergo a “necessary surgical intervention”. “I had surgery because of white skin cancer,” he told the “Bild” newspaper. Therefore, he withdraws from the public for a week.

“Postponed because of the election campaign”

“The disease has been known for several months. The necessary surgical intervention was postponed immediately after the federal election because of the election campaign,” a spokesman for Kubickis confirmed to the news agency spot on news. “After his short break, Mr. Kubicki will be fully operational again at the end of next week,” it also says.
