Wolfgang Petry recorded a love song for his great love for the golden wedding anniversary and spoke about his marriage in an interview.
On November 20, Wolfgang Petry (71) and his wife Rosemarie (67) celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. In an interview, the couple revealed their love secret.
His “Rosie” not only drank wine with him, but also “went through the shit” with him, he explains in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper. And further: “The good Lord said yes to us three times. I can’t imagine it any other way.”
Romantic walks on the beach
But the singer also did some things right in his relationship. She loves everything about him, says Rosie, “except for his know-it-all syndrome.” But he is also very romantic and tells her every day that he loves her. And further: “We often walk along beaches, then we hug each other and review our lives.”
This romantic streak also inspired Petry to make a special wedding anniversary gift: “You belong to me and I belong to you” is the name of the public declaration of love that will be released as a single this Friday. The single is also the harbinger of his new studio album “Stark wie wir”, which will be released on March 3, 2023.
“A touching moment” during the video shoot
For the video that will be released for the golden wedding, the couple even stood in front of the camera together for the first time. “A touching moment in my life,” Petry said of the experience, according to the press release. Rosie says of the shoot, “It was actually pretty funny, but it was the only time.” She feels “much more comfortable” in the background.
