Woman attempts to hire hitman to murder her 3-year-old son

An 18-year-old woman tried to hire a hitman to kill her 3-year-old son. It was the fake hitman, on the other side of the screen, who alerted the authorities.

It’s a barely believable case that has been agitating the Miami Police Department since Tuesday, July 18, 2023. That day, the brigade’s investigators are contacted by a man who presents himself as a fake hitman. He explains that he has set up a fake website, in order to identify people who plan to assassinate someone around them. While he regularly receives requests, sometimes outlandish, one request in particular caught his attention. An 18-year-old woman, Jazmin Paez, asked him, for about 3000 dollars (2696 euros) to get rid of her 3-year-old son as quickly as possible.

In the automatic form that the young woman had to fill in on the website, she even adds a precision wishing that her son “be taken very far, very very very far, and if possible be killed but ASAP (note: as soon as possible).” According to investigators, she would have insisted that the crime take place before the end of the week. With the request, the young woman had added a photo of the little boy as well as the address of his grandmother, with whom the toddler lives. Informations which he immediately transmitted to the authoritiesso that they can intervene as soon as possible.

Jazmin’s father defends her

Doubtful at first, the Miami police officers decided to go there to ensure the good health of the boy. This one was indeed at his grandmother’s, who was informed of the suspicions hanging over the 18-year-old mother. Jazmin for her part was very quickly placed in police custody, and indicted for solicitation of murder and use of a communication tool for an illegal reason. The motives of the mother of the family have not yet been determined. The bogus website for contacting a hitman was still open on his computer.

The American television channel NBC6 had the opportunity to interview Jazmin’s father, who explains “my daughter is not a freak.” The young woman has a very difficult past due to a heavy medical history. “My daughter was born with health problems. She has fluid held in her neck. She has already had 12 surgeries, and lost the ability to move her face. She was bullied at school, they called her the monster.” Jazmin Paez is incarcerated awaiting trial.
