An initially unknown man gave a driver a scare in Zell am See on Wednesday. When the 36-year-old stopped at a red light, he tore open the passenger door and tried to snatch her handbag, which she was able to hold on to.
Their screams, the help of a passerby and the threat from the Polish woman that she would call the police drove the thief to flee. The alleged perpetrator, a 34-year-old Pole, was arrested a little later.
