82-year-old hits a pedestrian and seriously injures her
lia. A pedestrian was hit by a car in Thalwil on Monday afternoon (October 3) and was seriously injured, as the Zurich cantonal police wrote in a statement.
Shortly after 4:30 p.m., the woman wanted to cross Tischenloostrasse on the pedestrian crossing when she hit the car of an 82-year-old woman. As a result of the violent impact, the 33-year-old pedestrian was thrown a few meters and seriously injured. After the first aid on site, an ambulance took her to the Seespital Horgen. Because of the accident, the affected part of Tischenloostrasse had to be closed to traffic on both sides for around two and a half hours. The exact cause of the accident is still unclear and is being investigated by the cantonal police in cooperation with the Limmattal/Albis public prosecutor.
Deadly argument in Oetwil: detention requested for 19-year-olds
fbi./tsf. In Oetwil am See there was a dispute between several people at the weekend. A 17-year-old died from his injuries. The circumstances of the dispute have not yet been finally clarified. As the public prosecutor said on Monday, the investigations continue. Those injured in the incident and the person who died had stab or cut injuries, among other things.
For the slightly injured 19-year-old Swiss, the public prosecutor’s office has applied to the compulsory measures court for pre-trial detention. The decision of the compulsory measures court is still pending. As always, the presumption of innocence applies until a legally binding conclusion of the case, the public prosecutor emphasized.
The two people seriously injured in the altercation – a 24-year-old Swiss and a 19-year-old Serb – will be questioned by the public prosecutor as soon as their state of health permits. A decision will then be made on possible pre-trial detention.
According to the public prosecutor, the two uninjured Swiss, aged 19 and 24, who were arrested by the police, are free again.
Volketswil: Man seriously injured after violent beating
tsf. A man suffered life-threatening injuries in an argument between several people in Volketswil on Sunday night (October 2nd). As the Zurich canton police announced on Monday, three other participants suffered minor to moderate injuries.
According to initial investigations, there was a violent argument between several people around 3 a.m. in the area of Geissbüelstrasse 8. During the argument, a 29-year-old suffered serious head injuries. The three other men involved, aged between 24 and 49, suffered minor to severe injuries in the incident.
The course of the crime and the motive for the crime as well as other backgrounds are not yet clear. The investigations are being conducted by the public prosecutor’s office and the Zurich cantonal police. Police are looking for anyone with information about the incident.
