Womanhood: Photo project about female self-perception

Iga Drobisz's work includes an illustrated book and an accompanying exhibition, whose foreword by Aleksy Wójtowicz reveals a lot about the "Index" project: “The women are here themselves, looking at us directly or showing us their profiles. We know as much about you as you are willing to disclose yourself. We look at them through the eyes of a young photographer, and they return that look with their gaze according to their own rules. In this formal simplicity and concentration on the faces of women lies the core of the female gaze, which we have slowly been able to regain. This project is minimalist and strong in its expression, but Iga simply calls it a documentary with no ambition to create a sociological picture of the era. It is a fragment of the women's world that a woman sees. "
