The dispersion of wage income is greater than that of full-time equivalent wages, because it also reflects differences in the volume of work, points out INSEE in its annual barometer of employment and income. Thus the table above lists on the one hand (left column) the full-time equivalent annual salaryand the effective annual salary (central column), really towards taking part-time into account.
Gold people under 25 rarely work full time: on average, they even work less than half a full-time job according to this INSEE reference overview. This is why the difference is bante between the real salary and the full-time equivalent for those under 25 years old. This weight of part-time also weighs heavily on the gaps between men and women, between employees with little or no qualifications, or even on the side of employees and workers, among whom part-time is more widespread than in intermediate professions.

Executives: higher salary and working hours
The perfect illustration is that of executives’ income: as INSEE explains, executives have an average annual wage income of 42,310 euros, i.e. 2.7 times that of manual workers and 3 times that of employees, due to the higher full-time equivalent but also because of a greater volume of work.
The panorama produced by INSEE shows a significant gap between executives and employees, but it also points to smaller gaps than expected. Thus the gap between the private sector and the public service is relatively limited, as is the wage gap by age once you reach the age of forty.
