Women’s French Cup: PSG crowned by outclassing Yzeure in the final (8-0)

There was no match. The girls of PSG outclassed, this Sunday, the amateur club of Yzeure in the final of the Coupe de France (8-0) to win the 3rd Coupe de France in their history.

The gap was too big between the two teams. There was even a chasm that separated the Parisian players from those of Yzeure, who play in 2and division and were unable to compete. And the difference in level was verified from the first moments with Marie-Antoinette Katoto’s opener after less than three minutes of play.

And in less than a quarter of an hour, the capital club had already scored five goals on the lawn of the Gaston-Gérard stadium in Dijon. While there was already no more suspense at the break (6-0), the Parisiennes scored two new goals in the second half and did the job until the final whistle under the eyes of Leonardo present in the grandstands.

With this trophy, PSG won its 3and Coupe de France (2010, 2018) which is like a consolation prize at the twilight of a trying season both outside, with the Kheira Hamraoui affair which broke out last November, and on the field, with an elimination at the gates of the Champions League final against Lyon.

Even if the Parisian club still fear hope to win the title of champion of France. It will be necessary for the girls of Didier Ollé-Nicolle to beat the Rhone club on May 29th then to win in Reims three days later hoping for a misstep from the Lyonnaises at the same time against Issy.
