Les Bleues, who are only playing the second elite world championship in their history, have chained four defeats in Brampton (Canada), first against Finland (14-1) then against Hungary (4-2), Germany (3-0) and finally Sweden to finish in last place in their group.

Canada, which plays at home, and the United States are the two big favorite nations in this World Cup. In the same group A, the two teams occupy first and second place and are already qualified for the final stages. Canada won Tuesday on penalties in their confrontation.
