“It’s like a dream, madness!”
Health ailing since the weekend, Pinkelnig struggled for words with tears in her eyes at the scene of her World Cup debut in December 2014. “It’s incredible, thanks to everyone who worked to make it happen. Being in Lillehammer, where it all started, where I did my first World Cup, to be the overall World Cup winner a few years later, with everything I’ve had to experience in between, is unbelievable. I’m having a hard time putting it all into words right now. It’s like a dream, madness,” said Pinkelnig in an ORF interview.
