Linnemann sets conditions for Islamic associations

Right to exist versus right to exist: The General Secretary of the CDU would link a work permit for all Islamic institutions in Germany to a commitment to Israel. Linnemann accuses the traffic light of not taking enough action against political Islam.
CDU General Secretary Carsten Linnemann has called on Islamic institutions in Germany to commit to Israel’s right to exist. “We need a commitment from all Islamic institutions that they recognize Israel’s right to exist and reject anti-Semitism. If this does not exist, they have no right to continue their work in Germany,” Linnemann told the “Neue Osnabrücker Zeitung”.
The CDU politician criticized the federal government for not doing enough to combat political Islam. “The Islamic Center in Hamburg, which is an extension of the mullahs’ regime in Iran, is still not closed. That is completely the wrong signal,” said Linnemann. The Islamic Center is classified as extremist by the Hamburg Office for the Protection of the Constitution. The agency views the facility as an outpost of the Iranian regime, which had congratulated Hamas on its attack on Israel.
“He chose the wrong country”
Linnemann said the vast majority of Muslims in Germany want to live in peace and freedom. But political Islam wants to destroy liberal democracy and turn it into a caliphate. “If we decisively combat political Islam, it would be a liberation for the liberal and secular Muslims in Germany.” It’s about making it clear: “Anyone who shares our values is part of our society, regardless of their faith. But anyone who fights against them has chosen the wrong country.”
