Today, Monday at 4:30 p.m., a 34-year-old fitter from Altenberg in 8160 Trennstein was working on the facade of a single-family house. Then the tragedy took its course.
At the time of the accident, the man was in the basket of a telescopic riser. For unknown reasons, it became unstable, overturned and fell over a steep embankment. The worker was thrown out of the basket, hit the ground and suffered such severe head injuries that he died at the scene of the accident. Resuscitation attempts by the emergency doctor were unsuccessful. A colleague who was present had to be looked after by the crisis intervention team.
