Working to “try to forget the war”: these displaced Ukrainians who found a job in France

Like Maksim*, millions of Ukrainians had to leave their homes urgently. From this previous life, these displaced people were often able to take only a few belongings, leaving behind their possessions, their accommodation and of course, their jobs. Among them, around 85,000 would have settled at least temporarily on French soil. A small number have even managed to get a job. A challenge, as the obstacles are numerous, but also the first step towards a new life.
