During the corona pandemic, a lot takes place within your own four walls – for many people also training.

Due to the corona pandemic, many people are trying to keep fit in their own homes. But that's not always easy. Here is a selection of devices that can help.

A watch as a training partner

For many sports and fitness fans, a smartwatch or a fitness tracker are now part of the basic equipment, because the devices are an ideal training partner. With the watches or trackers, which are usually worn on the wrist, you can often read out innumerable information about your own health. For example, heart rate, steps, distance covered while running or there are even special training modes are measured. Popular models are the Apple Watch, the Galaxy Watch3 from Samsung or devices from Fitbit.

Many devices for training at home, including exercise bikes, ergometers or cross trainers, now offer app support. Often it is not just about evaluating training data. The "Kinomap" app is compatible with numerous devices from many manufacturers such as Sportstech, Hammer or AsViva. Users can use the app to select real routes around the world and play videos with which they run or drive the routes.

With intelligent scales to the target weight

If you want to keep an eye on your own weight, you can now use intelligent scales such as those from Withings. The "body" scale can be connected to an app and sends all the data it collects to your own smartphone. Among other things, the weight profile can be checked there and users can also set a target weight, for example.

Meanwhile, companies like Sensoria rely on intelligent sportswear, including socks, T-shirts and sports bras. These can measure the heart rate during training and are intended to replace appropriate belts that are usually worn around the chest. If you prefer a more common chest strap, there are countless alternatives from manufacturers such as Garmin or Polar.
