Works with every FritzBox: Your guests can connect to the WLAN super fast

Nowadays, anyone who has visitors at home can hardly avoid asking for their WiFi password. Be it to check emails, update your own social media channels or simply to save data volume.

At that point, at the latest, it gets complicated: Because many users use passwords with different special characters, upper and lower case letters and often no correct meaning, which can make passing them on a real challenge.

A handy FritzBox feature promises to solve the problem and pass router access to guests in seconds.

You can find a QR code on the bottom of all FritzBox models and simply send it.

Alternatively, you can also generate the code yourself, which your guests only have to scan with your camera. For the latter method, just follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to the “WLAN” tab in the FRITZ!Box user interface under fritz.box and then to “Security”.
  2. Then tap on “Print info sheet”. Here you will find all the information about your home network, including your personal QR code.
  3. Pass the code on to guests by having it scanned with the camera or directly in the FRITZ!App WLAN

If you don’t want to let visitors directly into your home network, you can also send the QR code for guest access:

  1. Click on “WLAN” in the menu and then go to “Guest Access”.
  2. Tap on “Show QR code”.
