Mustache or beard, porn bar or sideburns: These apps are the right ones on World Beard Day.

The first Saturday in September is World Beard Day. For a hairy fun holiday recommends the website “worldbeardday.com” Among other things, barbecuing, eating a hot dog or changing a tire. However, there are also apps dedicated to facial hair. That’s three of them.

Bristlr

Beards are there to be scratched! At least that’s what the makers of the “Bristlr” app to have thought. According to the company, it is partly a social network and partly a dating app. More than 150,000 users are therefore active on the platform. Those who like each other are allowed to write to each other – it is not for nothing that “Bristlr” is nicknamed “Tinder for Beards”. However, “Bristlr” has its own special features, such as the “Lothario Detector”, which warns users when they receive copy-paste messages from other users. In addition, parts of your own profile can be set so that they are only visible to others after they have liked each other.

Grooming

The “Grooming” app (Android/iOS) from the shaver manufacturer Philips is primarily a marketing app, but conjuring up a photo-realistic beard on your face with it still works great. 22 different styles are available to registered users. In addition, the app comes up with lifestyle articles for everything to do with the beard. There are also tips from experts, how-to videos and personal style advice.

Beardify

Anyone wondering whether a beard would look good on him or her at all will find it with the app “Beardify” an answer. The face editing app conjures up virtual beards on photos and videos. Hair growth on the cheeks is no longer withheld from adult men only. “Beardify” can also be combined with other apps from the developer Apptly. For example, “Boldify” removes the main hair, “Oldify” ensures aging by tippers and “Monsterfy” turns users into monsters. In addition to “Beardify” there are a number of other apps that allow experiments with your own facial hair, such as the “Beard Photo Editor” or the “Beard Booth Studio”.
