World Cup 2022: new accommodation offers available

Ticket holders for the 2022 World Cup (November 21-December 18) have the option of booking private accommodation or at fan residences called fan villages.

Good news. While questions were growing around the possibility of having accommodation during the World Cup, the organizers announced this weekend that nearly 130,000 rooms will be available.

Indeed, each holder of a ticket for a competition match can go to the ad hoc portal and book accommodation in private residences or even in fan villages (campsites dedicated to supporters).

A commitment made upon award

Divided between private accommodation, hotels, cruise ships or even camping spaces, the available rooms will allow all those who wish to come and enjoy the first World Cup to be held in the Middle East.

“Commitment made by the host country when the World Cup was awarded in 2010, the State of Qatar will subsidize certain offers to ensure that all supporters can financially access them”, explain the organizers.

These indicate that the range of offers is varied so that all supporters, and all budgets, can find accommodation. As soon as the competition was awarded, Qatar, which has seen 23.5 million tickets already sold, pledged to offer a tournament accessible to all football fans, wherever they come from.

Over the next few weeks new accommodation offers will also be open for booking.

As a reminder, all ticket holders must apply for a Hayya card in order to gain access to the country and then to its stadiums.
