Several ministers have already worn the ‘One Love’ armband

It won’t be a first at the World Cup as German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser, in charge of sports, wore the armband next to FIFA President Gianni Infantino during Germany’s 2-1 defeat against Japan last Wednesday. The Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hadja Lahbib, did the same during the victory of the Red Devils against Canada in Qatar (2-1).

Homosexuality is illegal in Qatar and several fans had rainbow-colored objects, armbands and the like, confiscated during the first round of the World Cup.

Stuart Andrew, who assumes his homosexuality, indicated to the British channel ITV that he was goingdefinitely‘wearing the armband on Tuesday and said to himself’delightedthat his German colleague led by example last week.
