For this BlizzCon 2023, Blizzard particularly highlighted World of Warcraft. Whether with the Worldsoul Saga and many details on its first expansion The War Withinas well as Cataclysm Classic who will bring destruction to Azeroth, you will have to wait until 2024 to benefit from it. However, a big novelty is planned well in advance for the kingdoms Classic Era of World of Warcraft Classic, namely the Season of Discoveryalready dated Thursday, November 30 and which will therefore succeed the Season of Mastery. Its first particularity and that there will be no beta or Public Test Realm (RPT) before its release, the reason being in its title: discovery.
The contents vanilla will therefore be re-proposed with a twist, new hidden secrets to unearth through AzerothTHE Discoveries, without being indicated in any way and which will not denote the rest of the game elements already present. Exploration and adventure are therefore aimed by the developers by giving free rein to the observation and creativity of players via a unique experience of social interaction and information sharing (before everything is put online on the Web obviously…). Some Discoveries could be an element of loot well hidden at the bottom of a mine while others will take the form of complicated puzzles requiring several players to find the solution.
Tiered content phases will be implemented, inspired by the WoW Classic beta, to make content accessible without players having the impression of being behind if they don’t play straight away. The aim is to reduce the FOMOthe team will also offer bonuses ofXP low level for the following phases in order to make up for any delays if necessary. Initially, the maximum level will therefore be 25, with a endgame dedicated and a potential for new high-level experiences using areas and content not finalized at the time.
There will thus be a Raid at 10 level 25 in the Blackbreeze DepthsA Dungeon level up which has been modified for the occasion. In particular, it will propose reinvented clashes against 7 bosses, namely the Baron Aquanis, Ghamoo-ra, Lady Sarevess, Gelihast, Lorgus JettTHE Twilight Lord Kelris And Aku’mai requiring the implementation of new tactics and strategies. The scenario will be the same, but there will also be secrets to discover, including the buff people Blackbreeze’s Blessing. This will be the case for each Raid marking a phase level cap, with new mechanics and new rewards like those below. Moreover, the reset will take place every three days.
Content lovers PvP will be able to participate in global events to test their new techniques against other players, and that of level 25 will be located at Ashenvale. By carrying out killsthis will activate the event and it will then be necessary to eliminate a Priestess of the Moon or one Farseerfaction leaders that can be weakened by defeating the camps present in the area, similar to the Alterac Valley. A mount that can only be used Ashenvale can be obtained to facilitate travel.
Comes next there Runesmitha new set of skills completely independent of the system of Talents and available to all, used to apply new techniques to equipment, some of which have never seen the light of day before and which may be changed at any time. Only three slots will be available at level 25 (torso, legs and hands), but more will unlock afterward.
More than a hundred special runes will therefore be discovered through Azeroth, the goal being to leave room for experimentation and to have fun with the meta by allowing classes to perform actions that are usually impossible. Many examples were shown, which can be seen in the screenshots below.
