World of Warcraft: Dragonflight 2023 roadmap detailed

It’s been nearly a month since World of Warcraft players can enjoy Dragonflightthe latest extension dated MMORPGs of Blizzard. The opportunity to return to Azeroth and discover new regions with a bunch of new story quests, but this is just the beginning of the adventure.

Holly Longdale, executive producer of wowindeed takes the floor to reveal the roadmap of Dragonflight in 2023, with no less than six content updates. Many features will be added, such as counters, options for transmog, non-instance content and more. Here is what Holly Longdale says:

The past month has been very instructive for the World of Warcraft team. We’ve seen millions of players fly to the Dragon Isles, defend their allies against the threat of the Primalists, listen to tales of suffering, craft inspired items, explore dungeons, and cook massive amounts of soup. .

But this story has only just begun. A World of Warcraft expansion is not a frozen moment in time, but a true journey. We know that the merit of an extension is measured by the quality of its narrative arc. Years after its release, Legion is remembered for the 11 weeks of content updates that gave it shape in its first year, not to mention the Artifacts and well-received Khadgar lines.

As we prepare for the next adventures of Dragonflight, we always keep in mind our responsibility to players for the preservation of this living world. We know we have to do better than what has been done recently. Our goal for Dragonflight is to ensure that there is always something new on the horizon, delivering updates at a faster pace.

In total, we are planning six content updates spread out at regular intervals throughout 2023. As tradition dictates, two major updates will form the mainstays of the expansion, with new areas and seasonal rewards as well only new raids. But between these two updates, we want to expand the world by bringing new world events, system updates, new dungeon adventures, new narrative chapters as well as cinematics that can serve as epilogues or prologues to the next stage of the adventure. And, most importantly, more opportunities to respond to feedback and change or add things based on player needs.

We recently announced the next content update 10.0.5, which should be available in early 2023. It will include the counter system, allowing to obtain a wide range of surprising ornamental rewards and, finally, the Opportunity to acquire low-quality and common-quality item transmogs (for those who prefer a more modest appearance), as well as new content in the Primalist Aftermath area.

Shortly thereafter, we will release Content Update 10.0.7 to our public test realm. Update 10.0.7 will introduce a new quest as well as repeatable world content in the Forbidden Reaches. The Dractyrs will return to their place of confinement (in the company of distinguished hosts) in order to learn more about their origins and their destiny. This content will help set up the next big chapter of Dragonflight. At its end, our next destination should be obvious. In addition to this new content, we also plan to add quests for ornamental Heritage Armor for Humans and Orcs, update some of our recurring events, and more.

Content Updates 10.1.5 and 10.1.7 will also be available in the second half of the year, transitioning between the second and third major updates. We don’t want to set a specific formula for the size or shape of these updates. The goal is simply to always give you more: more story, more content, more rewards, more events, more technological improvements, and less downtime between each update. I don’t want to tell you everything, but I’m sure no one is expecting some of the surprises that await you. Some details just aren’t ironed out yet, and your feedback will help us determine exactly what the priorities are during these updates.

We are honored and humbled by the reception Dragonflight has received, but this is just the beginning. On behalf of the entire development team, please accept our best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year 2023. We look forward to revealing all the surprises that await you in Azeroth.

The players of World of Warcraft are not likely to be bored in 2023 with Dragonflight. the MMORPGs of Blizzard is as a reminder only available on PC with a subscription, you can find products derived from Warcraft on Amazon.
