World trip through Germany: Quench your wanderlust at your doorstep

Summer without a summer vacation – For most of us, trips to other countries fall flat this year. BUT: There are also places right on our doorstep that can always keep up with the wide world.

Wanderlust, really big wanderlust plagues me and I know that I'm definitely not alone. But flying away is not an option for most of us. The long-awaited trip to New York, the beach vacation in Mallorca or the lonely holiday home in Sweden: canceled. So tents are bought, mobile homes are rented, day trips are planned and, thanks to #staycation, the vacation in Germany is made. And here we simply create the holiday feeling ourselves. After all, Germany can certainly keep up with Hawaii, France and Co. You just need to know where to pitch your tents or park your camper. The camper sharing app Yescapa has a few great travel tips at hand that reduce the wanderlust a bit and, if necessary, also have the right camper on offer.

Nestled between steep mountain slopes, the Königssee looks frighteningly similar to the Norwegian fjord landscape. In any case, this place in the Berchtesgadener Land offers a fantastic backdrop – in the truest sense of the word.

The well-known wine region in Lower Franconia, the Mainschlaife, is strongly reminiscent of Tuscany with its charming flair. The difference: instead of Chianti and Montepulciano, Riesling and Silvaner are produced here.

The water of the North Sea is not quite as warm as in the Pacific Ocean, but the sunsets in the community in Schleswig-Holstein are at least as beautiful to look at. Kite and wind surfers in particular are also happy about the wind and the waves.

Impressive chalk cliffs are not only to be seen in Greece: the rocks at Cape Arkona in the north of Rügen may not be quite as Mediterranean, but they are still beautiful.
