(Boursier.com) — Worldline has been chosen as a partner and payment service provider by the Lufthansa Group, a global player in the aerospace industry. With a solid experience in the air transport and travel industry, Worldline designs solutions adapted to the complexity of the specific needs of some of the most important players in the airline sector.

The Lufthansa Group intends to create a robust payment platform providing a simple and consistent group-wide payment solution, which will benefit all its members. This partnership will allow the Lufthansa Group to implement a range of Worldline solutions, offering payment methods, consolidated reports and integration with their main platforms. Worldline’s extensive experience in acquiring for airlines and its expertise in the travel industry will also enable the Lufthansa Group to better understand recent risks and challenges in the sector. Worldline will also create the payment infrastructures allowing the Lufthansa Group to achieve its objectives and make the most of the strong growth phase that is beginning today in the airline sector.

Under this agreement, Worldline will act globally for Lufthansa and the other group companies, SWISS, Austrian Airlines and Edelweiss, allowing all to benefit from Worldline’s continued investments in innovation, new markets and specific services dedicated to airlines. These include Billing & Settlement Plans (BSP) verification and settlement services and Accounts Receivable Conversion (ARC). The Lufthansa Group will also use Worldline’s TravelHub solution, a single scalable connection providing access to more than 150 payment methods and currencies, multi-acquisition, tokenization and a wide choice of anti-fraud services through a single reporting and settlement platform.
