(Boursier.com) — New session of increase for Worldline which gained 1% this Wednesday to 15.28 euros, while Morgan Stanley nevertheless remains ‘underweight’ on the issue, while raising its target from 8.90 to 10.90 euros. The title has just regained 10% in the space of 5 trading sessions… The latest rumors of entry into the round of the payments group of the Agricultural credit agitated the market, while according to information from ‘Bloomberg’, the green bank would consider taking a stake in Worldline in order to support its partner put in difficulty by the deterioration of the economic situation… Crédit Agricole is seeking to play a role in strengthening the company, whose market value is around 4.3 billion euros, the agency said at the end of last week.
Recall that the two groups announced in April the opening of exclusive negotiations with a view to creating a joint venture specializing in payment services for merchants in France.

On October 25, Worldline recorded a historic fall on the stock market, plunging 59%, after the downward revision of its 2023 outlook and the abandonment of its growth target for next year… This warning came adding to a string of bad news for Europe’s payments sector, which is struggling with a slowdown in consumer spending after years of strong growth.
