PARIS, Nov 7 (Reuters) – French payments group Worldline on Monday announced plans to buy Banco Desio’s merchant acquiring business in Italy for around 100 million euros.
“This operation is fully in line with our strategy to develop our Merchant Services activities in southern Europe and in particular in Italy, a strategic and very attractive market for Worldline (..)”, declared Gilles Grapinet , the CEO of Worldline, in a press release.
