Worlds 2022: Jensen (Cloud9) holds the new record for the number of Worlds in a row

This week-end, Cloud9 beat Evil Geniuses 1/3 in LCS 2022 Championship Round 2, the Summer Split playoffs, thus advancing directly into the semi-finals against 100T, and possibly a place in the finals of the NA championship. On the midlane, Denmark’s Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensenwho returned to the club last December, set a new record this way.

Indeed, thanks to this presence in the last four of the competition, Cloud9 just secured a spot for Worlds 2022, for now via play-in, but maybe soon at the Main Event directly. It is therefore the 8th time the player will participate in the world championship of League of Legends over 12 editions, having not missed any appointment since the Worlds 2015.

Jensen also holds the record for participations

If he didn’t do better than a semi-final in 2018 with Cloud9he now obtains the price of the player who has participated in the competition the most in a row. An absolute record, since it exceeds that of Zach “Sneaky” Scuderi, with 7 participations in a row. The former botlaner had passed to the structure’s board of directors after his career on the fault, in 2020.

CoreJJ and Perkz are both at 6 Worlds in a row. It should also be noted that Jensen shares the record for the number of Worlds appearances, eight, with his former TL teammate, Double lift.
