Anne Hidalgo unveiled this Thursday the main measures of her program for the presidential election. One way perhaps to close the door to the popular primary, organized from January 27 to 30.

The candidate for the presidential election, Anne Hidalgo, presented Thursday the main measures of her program in terms of work, education or even health and the environment. She also presented her vision of France, believing that it “is hit by three crises”, the social, ecological and democratic emergency. Crises which, according to her, “feed each other”. “I want to bring France together in justice”, launched the mayor of Paris.

By unveiling her program this Thursday morning, Anne Hidalgo, who is between 3 and 6% of maximum voting intentions in the first round, definitively closes the door to the popular primary. It is indeed necessary to analyze his candidacy with regard to the bursting of the left: on the starting line of the first round of the presidential election, there will indeed be Fabien Roussel the communist, the ecologist Yannick Jadot or even the rebellious Jean- Luc Mélenchon, who ensure that in no case will they withdraw in favor of another.

There also remains Christiane Taubira, the former Minister of Justice of François Hollande, who very much wants to be appointed by the popular primary which will unveil this Saturday the list of candidates submitted to the vote of left-wing activists from January 27 to 30. Because this citizens’ initiative has a particularity: it is the organizers who propose the list of candidates, without necessarily having their agreement.
