In the beginning, the patterns were only worn by men, later they became part of the female wardrobe as well. Then there is the Marius style. It is a mixture of all Norwegian patterns. The new trend emerged in 1953, and the fashion designers Unn Soiland and Britten Eriksen were responsible for making it famous.
