WoW: Liquid’s World First vs. Halondrus the Reclaimer at Founders Sepulcher

Halondrus the Collector fell to Liquid. Seventh boss of the Sepulcher of the Founders in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. The colossus is dead, the first real “wall” of the raid is now behind them! It took a little over three and a half days and no less than 358 attempts to overcome the “crab”, it having been defeated the day before the “weekly reset” on the US side!

From this stage, the Race to World First takes an extremely interesting, but also very dangerous turn for the contenders for the title of World First of the Sepulcher of the Founders. As Echo approaches the down, they will still have to be very persistent and react quickly so as not to fall behind which would jeopardize their ascent. SK Pieces and Method seem a little less close to victory, but a last-minute turnaround cannot be ruled out. However, and even if the lead won by Liquid is crucial, it does not guarantee their final victory: nothing is decided, far from it!

Composition of the World First of Halondrus the Reclaimer

The encounter with this seventh boss has the particularity of being extremely punitive but also of being a real “Healing Check”. A staggering amount of healing was required, and Liquid had to adapt its composition accordingly, so there are some changes in the raid group to reflect those needs.

On the Tank side, nothing has changed, of course! It is on the Healer side that an important change has taken place with a delay to a composition with four Heals against three on the previous boss. It is of course, no pun intended, a Druid Restoration which was favored for the same reasons it was selected over some previous bosses: the Roaring Rush but also his heavy raid healing and incomparable mobility for a Healer. A must have. The presence of a Discipline Priest is also as surprising as it is interesting since its presence is explained not only by the passive contribution in DPS that it confers, but also by its great capacity to cancel or greatly reduce the impact of certain peaks of damage anticipated at the help from her Spirit Shell. A risky bet, but which will have finally paid off, specialization Disciplined requiring a sharp knowledge of the encounter and a significant preparation to be really viable on this type of fight.

On the DPS side, the changes are also very interesting once again. We note the arrival for the first time of the raid of two Thieves Fineness whose presence is justified not only for their mobility, but also their high survivability: Shadow Cloak, Deceives death, feint… The ideal on this fight, a choice recalling besides the hour of glory of the Thieves when encountering the Avatar of Sargeras at the Tomb of Sargeras in Legion! The second Thief has also replaced the Death Knight Frost, and it’s easy to understand why when you see the importance of moving against this boss. One of the Warriors was also exchanged for a Shaman Improvementprobably for reasons of mobility (ghost wolf) but also for the significant single-target DPS that this specialization currently benefits from, for once!

Finally, the casters welcome into their midst the two Hunters Survival who had shone in the previous meeting, these having changed in favor of specialization Beast Masteryin the same way as one of Druids Balance was replaced by a third BM Hunter. Why BM and not Accurate ? Simply for mobility, again! Halondrus requires a lot of movement both during the phases and the interphases, we cannot afford to be “a pole”.

Another Balance Druid has for its part been exchanged for a Warlock Demonology, increasing the total of that specialization in the group to two. A choice difficult to explain other than by the great survival of this specialization despite its low mobility. All in all, theHorse as the Demono are big poles, damn for damn… The second Fire Mage was exchanged for a Shaman Elementarya good surprise which is again explained by its mobility (ghost wolf) but also and above all its formidable Wind Puff Totem very important during this meeting.
