WoW: The complete point of the Race to World First after 4 days of progress

The Race to World First of the Sepulcher of the Founders is in full swing in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands. The ultimate raid of the extension has been hosting a handful of guilds for several days already trying somehow to overcome its 11 bosses. Who are the first, the last and above all, who could reverse the situation in the coming days? We take stock!

To understand the current situation, it is important to know the situation mentioned by Cruelladk, one of the players of the guild method, about the “slow progression” of guilds at this level. The current situation is intimately linked to it, very intimately even!

Race to World First: World Situation

At the dawn of the fourth day of progress for the Europeans, and the end of that of the Americans, the situation is undoubtedly one of the most interesting in recent years, or even beyond.

While we recently noticed the rather slow progression of the best guilds in the world in the Sepulcher of the Founders, these having chosen to obtain equipment in Heroic Mode through the “split” system, these are the americans from The Early Shift who kicked off on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 with their victory over the Vigilant Guardian.

Since the prestigious guild Liquid (US) was just finishing her splits, or almost, she chose to start her progression in Mythic in turn. And the least we can say is that they didn’t do things by halves with 4 kills in the single night (Paris time) from Wednesday to Thursday, before moving on to the sequel. The way was open, and Europeans and other American guilds quickly rushed in.

The compositions played there are also very interesting, especially on the side of the current World First of Liquid. There is a serious resurgence of certain forgotten or rarely represented classes and specializations, the Warrior the Hunter Survival and the Shaman Improvement notably, while the usual overplayed casters, the magician in particular, are generally kept out. The same goes for the Healers who largely favor the Ready Sacred rather than Disciplineda rare event in recent years!

To date, the situation is rather surprising since while the Europeans are just getting up this Saturday, March 12, 2022, four guilds have already defeated more than half of the raid bosses in Mythic:

  1. Liquid (US)
  2. Echo (IN)
  3. SK Parts (IN)
  4. BDGG (US)

Liquid (US) and Echo (EU) are neck and neck for the moment against Halondrus the Reclaimer. The Americans’ best attempt is precisely 41.4% after 180 attempts, while the Europeans pushed the boss to 50.9% after 101 attempts. The composition of the two groups is very very similar, however an average difference of 0.8 points in item level is noticeable, a difference which may seem laughable but which could possibly make the difference against such a boss!

The giants of each continent therefore have a serious advantage so far, and this is not a big surprise. However, the performances of the other guilds are most remarkable. We observe, for example, thatAster (NC) and skyline (CN) are respectively in 6th and 7th position in the world for the moment with a progress starting, as always, nearly 48 hours after that of the Americans. Incredible, right?

However, the current world ranking is hardly surprising, in the Top 10 at least. SK Parts, BDGG and method are engaged in a furious battle for third position and their delay on the two current favorites may be difficult to make up for. However, we are not immune to an exceptional adaptation of one of these guilds leading them to regain the advantage sooner or later. Nothing is lost !

Finally, it is interesting to take a look at the progression of guilds boss after boss. For example, it is easy to see that Liquid has many more sweaters than its competitors on most bosses and this is explained by a simple fact: they are the ones who discover them first, the American guilds having started the progress 16 hours before the European ones. An advantage, certainly, but not necessarily very useful in the long term under certain conditions!

Echo, SK Parts and method are generally doing very well, even if the beginning of the problems have started to be felt in the face of Lihuvimespecially for method. But at the time of this writing, these are Liquid and Echo who are far ahead of Halondrus. The leader of the American guild, Maximum, announced moreover, very recently not having succeeded in lining up 200 sweaters yesterday, but that this milestone will be crossed when they wake up: a kind of warning for EchoWarning !

Note: BDGG has not listed their logs in public, we do not have access to their battle data at this time.

Race to World First: Regional Situations

In America and Oceania, the two regions being linked, the situation is clear: there are Liquid and BDGG who dominate and by far. Three guilds accustomed to the US Top 10 struggle to defeat Lihuvimthe fifth boss, while the rest of America’s top guilds struggle to overcome theXy’mox Artificer, not surprisingly. As things stand, there is little chance of a reversal of the situation and only the two American guilds currently in the lead seem, in their region, to have a serious chance of having a place on the final podium. both American and global.

In Europe, these are Echo and SK Parts who lead the dance, method currently being slightly behind their competitors. The progression of European guilds is however even more disparate than on the American side since four guilds are currently struggling to overcome Lihuvimwhile all others are either stuck after the Guardian vigilantor after Skolex, the Ravenous Insatiableeither one or two bosses maximum!

The chances of a reversal of the situation at the end of the race are also very slim. Nevertheless, it will be very interesting to monitor the progress of method and SK Parts in the next few days since they are almost at the same stage of progress in this raid. Incidentally, one of these guilds in addition to BDGG (US) will probably close the World Top 3 podium. But who will be there? And especially, Liquid and Echo won’t they give up their lead on the next bosses?

In China, only six guilds have tackled Mythic Mode, and two of them are in the Top 10 worldwide: Aster and skyline. chao jie also seems to covet a place on this podium with 4 bosses defeated to date. Performances, let us remember once again, exceptional given the jet lag from which they are seriously suffering in this race.

Finally, a little red white blue: let’s speak French, and Francophones more generally. The situation with us is very complex. The usual guilds at the top of the ranking struggle to progress with the exception of the fearsome Zero Empathy rising to 6th place in Europe and 12th in the world with 4 bosses defeated.

Only guilds quichons and Revivals have defeated only one Mythic Difficulty boss so far, with other guilds seemingly struggling to advance. Even the regulars of the First FR who are Impact seem to have given way for the moment since they still haven’t touched Mythic Mode. Surprising, even though Lapi (the leader of the guild) recently claimed “play chill” !

In a recent thread, Cruelladk, one of the players from the famous Method guild, explained to her community why guilds seem to be progressing slowly during Race to World First in Founders Sepulcher, World of Warcraft’s latest raid: Shadowlands.
