Blizzard has just announced (source in English) the list of M+ dungeons for Season 4 of Dragonflight. As expected, the last season of the expansion will be a sort of best-of, over a relatively short period, before the arrival of
The War Within at the end of 2024. This will be made up of the 8 original dungeons from the Dragonflight expansion, with a drastic change in the evolution of the difficulty level.

The list of mythical dungeons for S4
While previous seasons of Dragonflight offered a mix of old instances, S4 will be exclusively composed of dungeons that appeared in this expansion.
- Ruby Essence Pools
- The nokhud offensive
- Hollow of Fougerobes
- Impregnation rooms
- Algeth’ar Academy
- Neltharus
- Azure Cave
- Uldaman
This choice is mainly explained by a total overhaul of the difficulty of the dungeons. This will make newer instances easier to upgrade.
Major changes to dungeon difficulty in Season 4
The main novelty will therefore be a modification of the entire difficulty system on the dungeons, both in Heroic and Mythical mode. Indeed, Blizzard noticed that the Mythic + dungeon system created a situation where M0s quickly became useless, while the presence of a timer from the first levels of MM+ put a certain pressure on players, especially beginners.
Thus, the model should evolve as follows:
- Heroic dungeons will now be at M0 level, giving the same level of reward
- The M0s will be at the current level of keys 8 to 10, but without a timer to complete them
- M2 and + keys will be equivalent to 10+ keys from the current season, with a timer to finish them. A +5 key will be at the level of a +15 from Season 3.
These changes made for Season 4 aim to make the transition easier for new players but also rerollers. This model should then be applied for future seasons, on The War Within expansion.
