Scheduled for soon, Dragonflight Season 2 will feature a lot of new features including new MM+ affixes. If Blizzard wishes to remove the season affix, the studio intends to change the affixes available to players, with a change in rotation and the addition and removal of these affixes. So, discover here the main changes planned for Patch 10.1. Note that we do not yet know the release date of Season 2, you can follow the leaks and anticipations on this subject on our dedicated article.
Update : Updated from Tuesday, March 28. Blizzard introduced three new affixes and decided to retire three currently used affixes.
New MM+ Season 2 affixes
While Season 2 will not have a season affix, Blizzard has planned to add and modify the other two affixes present during a level 7 or + key. The idea is to be able to offer greater gameplay variations while avoiding overly complex and frustrating weeks.
The new affixes of Season 2
- Incorporeal (translate by incorporeal): During the combat phases, adds appear randomly and try to destabilize the players by using spells that reduce the damage or healing done. These mobs can be controlled by all types of crowd control spells.
- Afflicted (translate by affected): In combat, adds will appear to ask players for help. These adds suffer a Poison, Disease, or Curse debuff. If the group of players manages to remove this debuff quickly or heal this add full, it will disappear. Otherwise, players will suffer a negative effect.
- Entangling (translate by entangled): During the combat phases, the players will be regularly affected by roots, which will slow down the speed of movement.
These new features should bring quite a few changes to the rhythm of the instances. However, how often they will be the responsibility of the Heal and the Tank (most of which have a dispel spell), which puts even more pressure on these two roles in unstructured groups.
Changes to current affixes
Blizzard also wants to modify the functioning of the current affixes or even remove some of them. Be careful because these developments could change before the release of Patch 10.1, what is mentioned here is still in the test phase on the PTR.

Changes to affixes
- Explosive: Here, the change would be a return to the BfA affix since the number of explosives will decrease but their hit points will be higher.
If the change to Explosive is interesting, potentially forcing a DPS to take care of explosives first (instead of Heal currently), the removal of the three affixes listed above is more worrying. Indeed, these affixes had the advantage of having little impact on the size of the sweaters, thus allowing groups to achieve very aggressive routes in key.
So much for the information about the new affixes for Dragonflight Season 2. While waiting for the release of Patch 10.1, you can find all of our information and guides on our World of Warcraft portal.
