It was in 2014 that Bugbear launched in Early Access Next Car Game, a car racing and destruction game. The title is now called Wreckfestit was released in version 1.0 on PC in 2018 then the following year on PS4 and Xbox One, before being entitled to an update for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2021.
All that’s missing is the Nintendo Switch, a version announced last summer and which was to land in the fall of 2021. Except that bugbear took quite a bit of delay, but he’s back today with good news: Wreckfest release date set for June 21, 2022 on Switch. The racing game will feature a 16-player multiplayer mode, but a frame rate stuck at 30 fps. Players will also find the contents of the first two seasons with 32 cars and several additional decoration packs.
