Error to be imputed to the trainee or to a badly awakened developer: a certain Ball Race 2: Ramp is currently displayed at 2,000 euros on the Xbox Store…

Microsoft had warned us that the price of Xbox games would increase in 2023, but still…

2,000 balls to control a ball… HOW MUCH?!

Available on PC, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and developed by Marcin Szelc, Ball Race 2: Ramp is a game (ugly, we’re not going to lie to each other) whose goal is very simple: drive a ball to the finish line in levels made up of various obstacles and platforms.

This exorbitant price was first spotted on Reddit through MelonButterG. Of course, this is most definitely a mistake. The price of 20 dollars (much more realistic, but still high for such a game) was indeed written on the American version of the Xbox Store with a comma instead of a period, hence the price recorded at 2 000 dollars and transcribed as is in euros.

Some users have bounced back from the original post by mocking the practice around collector’s editions to get your money’s worth, or waiting for the game to be sold to save a lot of money. The error was subsequently raised many times, but the price on the Xbox Store remains unchanged at the time of this writing. There is no doubt however that it will be quickly corrected. If it’s still early in the United States, it won’t be long before an employee raises the dumpling to $2,000.
