Barely 24 hours after his failed Big Air competition, Andri Ragettli came up trumps again at the end of the X Games in Aspen. The Graubünden freeskier won gold in slopestyle.

Ragettli knew how to convince the most on the course with different obstacles. In the end, the 23-year-old from Flims, who only made his comeback last week after a cruciate ligament rupture, prevailed over Canadian Max Moffatt and American Alex Hall, who grew up in Switzerland.

“That’s crazy”

“I only started skiing again five weeks ago. For a long time I didn’t know if I could even take part in the X Games this season. To be here now and win gold in slopestyle, that’s crazy », the exceptional talent was overjoyed after the long period of suffering.

For Ragettli it was already the fourth medal at the traditional event in the Rocky Mountains. After his strong comeback performances, Ragettli is also one of the medal candidates at the Olympic Games despite a lack of training.
