AMD’s 3D Vertical Cache technology obviously couldn’t be limited to just one processor During a very long time.
On April 14, we offered you the test of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The processor introduced a technique devised by AMD to “stack” cache memory and thus integrate more and more.
After the release of the “classic” 7000
Called “3D Vertical Cache”, the technique in question was “tested” on this processor. AMD seems to have been pleased with the results. Indeed, on the American’s latest CPU roadmap, we can see that other “X3D” processors are planned.
Our colleagues from Guru3D distribute said roadmap, but they don’t have much other information to share. We see all the same that the Zen 4 + X3D processors are planned in the wake of the “simply” Zen 4 processors.
To believe Guru3D, AMD would first release the Ryzen 5 7600X, Ryzen 7 7800X, Ryzen 9 7900X and Ryzen 9 7950X before turning to the X3D. The rumor suggests a release before the end of 2022, but does not specify if a single 7000 X3D processor is planned or if the range will expand.
