Xavier Naidoo has long been criticized for his statements. A concert in Berlin should take place despite resistance.

Will Xavier Naidoo (49) be back on stage soon? For years, the singer has attracted much more attention for spreading conspiracy theories than for his music. Many communities across Germany are therefore resisting planned Naidoo concerts – but without success. We are currently working at full speed to find an alternative date for his concert in the Spandau Citadel in Berlin, as the “Tagesspiegel” found out when asked by the organizer Trinity Music. A new date will be announced shortly, cards will remain valid, it is said.

According to its own statement, the responsible Berlin district office has no “legally tenable possibility” to prohibit the upcoming event: “The concert promoter Trinity Music organizes the concerts at the Spandau Citadel independently and independently selects artists for these concerts.”

Confusion about the date

The date of the event is currently August 1, 2022 on the website of the Spandau Citadel. Trinity Music managing director Thomas Spindler denies this date, however, because it is “pathetic research”.

In May, the controversial former “DSDS” juror published an anthem against corona vaccinations. He has also joined a group called “The Conference”. Members of the group include the convicted right-wing extremist Nikolai Nerling (41), the singer of the right-wing extremist band Category C and one of the people who took part in the failed assault on the Reichstag in 2020.
