Xbox Series: no more breaths, music and other clicks in voice chat

The Xbox Series X|S is now armed with some welcome features, including noise suppression.

Like NVIDIA Broadcast or Discord’s Krisp audio filters, this feature that can be activated at will should change your life in voice chats or during multiplayer games.

Noise cancellation comes into voice chat

How many times have we been annoyed by a person who tends to huff like an ox in his microphone or puts music at the bottom, massacred by the quality of the transmission? Worries that should be relegated to the past for Xbox Series owners.

Noise cancellation has indeed been rolled out to Microsoft’s next-gen consoles. Activated by default, it can be deactivated by opening the guide, then going to the Options part of the Groups and Discussions section.

Taking inspiration from Google Stadia, Microsoft has also added to Xbox Series the functionality to join a friend’s game via a clip or an image they have just shared. This can be done on consoles as well as on PC or mobile via xCloud.
