On Xbox Series X/S you can install emulators and play old games with new hardware. Now there is also an emulator for Windows 98.
The emulator DOSBox Pure RetroArch brings, among other things, Half-Life, Command and Conquer or Unreal to the Xbox Series X/S, but only indirectly and at your own risk.
The video explains how fans can get the emulator working on Xbox. You must first install DOSBox Pure and RetroArch in order to emulate a DOS system and install Windows on the Xbox. Only then does the installation of Windows 98 follow.
However, there is a small catch with the emulator, because RetroArch currently does not support USB mice. So you have to use your controller as a mouse replacement.
Sony classics can also be played on Xbox Series X/S
By the way, you can also install other emulators for PS1, PS2, SNES and Mega Drive on your Xbox Series X/S.
