Xbox: the price of exclusive games will increase!

Microsoft has just announced that the recommended retail price of its exclusive Xbox Series X|S games will increase from $60 to $70, an increase which should be similar in euros here. This will concern titles like Forza Motorsport, red fall or Starfield, which will retail for $69.99 at launch. A spokesperson for Microsoft thus explains to IGN :

The price reflects the content, scale and technical complexity of these games. As with all games developed by our teams at Xbox, they will also be available in Game Pass the same day they launch.

Games that are bigger, better looking, take longer to develop and therefore more expensive, here’s how Microsoft explains this price increase. Finally, the manufacturer is only aligning itself with the competition and recalls in passing that the Game Pass is still the ideal service for heavy gamers on PC or Xboxthe subscription cost for reminder €29.99 for three months via Amazonwith exclusives day one and quite a few other games from third-party studios.
