A few weeks ago, we told you about the next title from Tiny Roar and Assemble Entertainment, XEL. If a gameplay video is already available, the development studio and the publisher have recently shared new images concerning the title.
As a reminder, XEL must land during this summer of 2022 on Nintendo Switch and on PC (Steam and GOG). The app offers an epic sci-fi journey in 3D. He invites players on an adventure alongside Reid, and his companion, Chap, who aim to uncover the mysteries of the alien planet on which this first one finds himself stuck. XEL wants to be a “ love letter to classic Zelda titles, and it shows from the first visuals.
Regarding the artistic direction, XEL mixes very retro visual aspects, while offering a modern style. The soundtrack is composed by Gidon Wolff. On the gameplay side, we can count on different attacks, dodges, parries and various gadgets. Throughout the XEL journey, we will have to go through dungeons and solve different puzzles. Fortunately, several NPCs will be able to help us in our quest.
XEL will arrive later this year on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. At the moment, we do not have a specific date for the release of XEL on Nintendo Switch and PC. Of course, we will keep you informed as soon as more information is available on this subject.
