Xenoblade Chronicles 3: early release date, collector’s edition and long gameplay trailer with mergers, Nintendo treats

Last February, during the Nintendo Directthe publisher announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3, a sequel that will bring together the worlds of the other two numbered episodes available on Switch and whose launch was then scheduled for September 2022. But that was before. No, no postponement, quite the contrary, since the game of MonolithSoft is now precisely dated July 29 ! With the postponement ofAdvance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp and the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildit seems like nintendo has somewhat revised its schedule for the coming months. Let us also remember that Splatoon 3 was also due out this summer. We clearly won’t complain if the game comes out without major technical flaws, enough to give fans a good summer.

The new trailer released for the occasion has something to delight us with many new details about its combat system. Thus, our team will contain up to 7 playable characters at a time, ie the 6 protagonists already presented and a guest, each with a class that can subsequently be modified. The great novelty will come from the merger, called Interlinkwhich will unite them in pairs to form a Ouroboros. And as you can see, the interface will be full, it’s a hallmark of the license now. French subtitles will be included, but the video only indicates the presence of an English dubbing by ushope that a DLCs free allow you to enjoy it in Japanese, because it may annoy more than one!

Players will embody two protagonists, Noah and Mio, from two warring nations: Keves and Agnus. In all, six characters from these two nations will join forces to discover the truth behind this conflict. To do this, they travel to the March of the Sword, a region whose ground is pierced by a gigantic sword.

  • Lead up to 7 characters into battle : As in previous Xenoblade Chronicles games, combat is initiated by directly attacking enemies on the field. Players can take control of Noah’s six-member party, as well as control additional characters the party encounters along the way. Each character taking on a particular role on the battlefield, it is possible to establish all kinds of strategies.
  • Class changes : Noah is a swordsman who specializes in close combat, while Mio is a zephyr who draws the attention of the enemy while dodging his blows brilliantly. Each character thus belongs to a distinct class which gives them unique advantages. As the adventure progresses, players will be able to customize the composition of the party by changing the class of each of its members.
  • Interlink : each duo of the group, Noah and Mio, Lanz and Sena, or even Eunie and Taion can use the Interlink after fulfilling certain conditions to merge and take the form of a gigantic Ouroboros. Each Ouroboros has its own combat techniques, and triggering this transformation at the right time will be the key to achieving victory.

At last, a collector’s edition has been unveiledwhich is likely to disappoint some, not by its very classic content, namely a art book with a 250-page hardcover, a metal case and the game in physical format combined in a packaging surmounted by an illustration signed Masatsugu Saito, but well by its methods of obtaining. The big brands will not be entitled to it and order must be placed through My Nintendo Storewhich can turn out to be quite a hassle, not to mention the fact that you will necessarily have to pay full price… At least, that should limit the risks that scalpers get it.

Waiting to be able to pre-order Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Amazon always propose previous episodes for sale on Switch. You can find many visuals, including that of the jacket on the next page.
