Xenoblade Chronicles 3: How long to finish the game

You are probably waiting Xenoblade Chronicles 3 with great impatience. Monolith Soft’s latest JRPG is expected in two short days on Switch and many players will undoubtedly have a very busy weekend. We warn you right away, it will not be enough to overcome it. Don’t panic, if you want to manage your playing time well over the next few days or weeks, here are our estimates for the lifespan of Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

What is the lifespan of Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

As with the two previous games, you can indeed expect a colossal lifespan, but the pleasure is still there, as our test of this grandiose JRPG highlights. To guide you further, here is how the playing time is divided Xenoblade Chronicles 3 according to U.S :

  • main story : Between 80 and 100 hours
  • Main Story + Side Quests + Hero Quests : Between 160 and 170 hours approximately
  • Achieve 100% (unique monsters, farming of class levels…): 200 hours and more

It should be noted that these estimates were established from a “normal” difficulty mode. You can add a little more time if you are on hard mode. In addition, this breakdown may vary depending on your progress because it will not be uncommon to take breaks in the main quest in order to do some additional content, in particular for hero quests that unlock new classes.

There is no escaping the redundant quests that will ask you to go hunt monsters or collect different resources. It is also specified that the main quest contains a lot of cinematics which can sometimes be very long or successive. For the 100%, the longest will probably be to find all the unique monsters in the game, the farming of the classes at level 20 and raise all the gems to level “X”.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be available on July 29th exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
