One year to the day after presenting its robot-dog CyberDog, the Xiaomi group is doing it again with this time the presentation of a new humanoid-type robot. A robot on a human scale, equipped with two arms, two legs, and which arrived on the stage of the conference holding a flower in its hand.

This CyberOne robot measures 1.77 m in height for 52 kilos and is able to walk at a rate of 3.5 km/h. Equipped with a vision system called “Mi Sense”, the CyberOne robot is able to avoid obstacles, but also to visualize its environment, which allows it, for example, to pick up flowers or carefully avoid trampling. ants on his way.


A robot capable of understanding human emotions

Obviously, CyberOne is also equipped with artificial intelligence, which will allow it to learn from its mistakes, but also to accompany a human in his daily life. Xiaomi’s AI allows the robot to understand human emotions, and to access its requests.

At present, the Xiaomi CyberOne robot is a prototype, but the Chinese group hopes to be able to market it quickly to the general public. The manufacturer indicates that the CyberOne today costs a whopping 90,000 euros.

Of course, as development progresses, Xiaomi will try to lower the cost of production of its new toy, so that it can be displayed, perhaps one day, at a more affordable price. It remains to be seen now if humanity really wishes to place its trust in such a robot with regard to the management of its everyday life.
