Xiaomi announces the signature of a partnership with Emmaüs Connect.
The Chinese brand is particularly committed to donating 500 smartphones to the association.
Xiaomi with Emmaüs Connect for digital inclusion
Since 2013, Emmaüs Connect has been fighting against digital exclusion in France. Today, the Xiaomi group has decided to get involved alongside Emmaüs, and this will notably involve donating 500 smartphones by the end of 2022.
For Xiaomi, this is an opportunity to support digital for all, and to strengthen its commitment to the most vulnerable, especially in ” a pandemic context that
further accentuates inequalities, particularly among the younger generation “, according to Pierre-Alain Houard, marketing director of Xiaomi France. It also allows Xiaomi to become the most important
donor-maker of Emmaus Connect.
Remember that the Emmaüs Connect association helps people who do not have access to
digital tools. It provides them with quality equipment (telephones, computers, tablets, etc.) and
accompanies them on basic digital skills, in particular with introductory workshops.
