The Chinese brand has developed two mini-PCs that could bring the excellent quality/price ratio of the brand to a sector other than that of laptop.

Xiaomi has a now varied product portfolio, ranging from scooters to TV monitors and of course smartphones. And often, these offer excellent value for money. The Chinese brand is preparing to tackle a new market, that of mini-PCs. Two machines emerged on Weibo.

Computers supposed to be presented at the beginning of the month

Xiaomi does not offer any mini-PC for the moment but is not new to Windows PCs. The brand indeed offers laptops, the latest of which, confined to China, is none other than the Xiaomi Book Air 13.

The company is preparing small stationary computers, including the Xiaomi Mini Host and another unnamed reference for now. The company apparently planned to unveil its computers earlier this month, during the event dedicated to the launch of the Xiaomi 13 series, which was finally postponed. However, some images of these products have leaked on Weibo.

The first is the Xiaomi Mini Host, shown here in barebone form. Its specifications therefore remain to be defined. The image simply shows the presence of an XM22AL5X power supply, offering a nominal power of 100 W. However, the chassis seems to allow a dedicated graphics card with two slots, which would involve changing the power supply with a more powerful model in the most cases. Also note room for two 80mm or 90mm fans on the back of the case and an I/O plate that matches that of a mini-ITX motherboard.

AMD and Intel systems?

The characteristics of another PC, not characterized, have also leaked. They mention an AMD Ryzen 7 6800H APU, an 8-core/16-thread Zen 3 CPU equipped with a Radeon 680M iGPU (12 RNDA 2 graphics cores). It is a 45W TDP chip.

This system would cost 2999 RMB, or about 409 euros, without memory or storage. The computer equipped with 16 GB of DDR5 and an internal SSD of 512 GB would be negotiated 3999 RMB, or approximately 546 euros in raw conversion.

Xiaomi also digging into the catalog of Intel processors, systems under the blue flag are quite possible. Finally, a snapshot of the promotional material with a Win+M shortcut confirms that the computers are running Windows.

For the moment, Xiaomi has not formalized these mini-PCs. The brand could do it in a few days. Alas, it is not certain that they are marketed in France.
