Xiaomi is working on a new Android tablet

Xiaomi is not only active under its own brand name, but also offers products with the cheaper brands Redmi and Poco. When it comes to smartphones, it is quite normal for Xiaomi models to appear as Redmi and Poco phones with small adjustments to the design. This usually happens at lower prices. What works on smartphones should also work on tablets. As is now known, that’s the way it is a Redmi Pad 5G in development. In India, the name has popped up alongside the Xiaomi Pad 5 and Pad 5 Pro (source: ITHome).

The source didn’t reveal what exactly awaits us with the Redmi Pad 5G. However, it is assumed that this is a cheaper version of the Xiaomi Pad 5 (for testing), which is optionally equipped with a 5G modem. As for the processor, there could be a mid-range chip instead of the Snapdragon 860, so that the Price can be set a little lower. Xiaomi usually always takes an existing basis and only adapts it a little. Exactly the same could be the case with the Redmi Pad 5G.

What the Xiaomi Pad 5 has to offer:

Samsung could face stiff competition

There is definitely room on the market for a cheaper Android tablet from Xiaomi. The Xiaomi Pad 5 is relatively expensive at 400 euros. A cheaper version in the price range of 200-250 euros would suit Xiaomi much better and Making Samsung sweat with the cheaper Android tablets.

Samsung and Apple currently dominate the tablet market. A third player would certainly not go amiss. This already works very well on the smartphone market. Now the tablet market could be conquered.
