Xiaomi MS11: this is what the manufacturer’s first electric car looks like

After long months of waiting, we finally have a first look at Xiaomi’s first electric car. Visibly baptized MS11, it takes on the look of modern sedans, adding a sporty coupe look that will appeal to Aston Martin enthusiasts. There is also a LiDAR sensor on the upper part of the windshield.

Rumors around Xiaomi’s first electric car are not new. Nevertheless, it will have taken some time to get a glimpse of the latter. We were treated to a slight teaser at the start of the year when the car was seen in China, but it was still difficult to know what it really looked like. In development since at least 2021, it is therefore only today that the first images of the vehicle have leaked on the Chinese social network Weibo.

First information, and not least, these images reveal what could be the official name of the car: the MS11. It adopts the relatively classic look of the modern sedan, with its elongated lines and four doors. Xiaomi has however added some sporty touches, which are reminiscent of certain McLaren models, especially in the headlights and bumpers. At the rear, the manufacturer has opted for a light bar occupying the entire width of the vehicle.

The design of the Xiaomi electric car is revealed months in advance

If its rear axle is inspired by what, among others, Aston Martin can do, there is also a bit of Lamborghini in the rims. In short, Xiaomi was obviously inspired by what the competition is doing to give a truly sporty look to its car. A decision ultimately not so surprising, given that electric cars must optimize their aerodynamics as much as possible.

So that’s it for the sporty aspect, but what about the technology? Xiaomi does not seem to have overlooked this point either, as evidenced by the LiDAR sensor that can be seen on the upper part of the windshield, recalling that the manufacturer wishes to make a place for itself in the driving market. autonomous. Besides, the car is still relatively unknown. We know, however, that it should be equipped with CATL batteries, which would allow it to reach a range of 1000 km.
