Xiaomi: New cell phone has a huge battery and is extremely cheap

The number of Xiaomi smartphones is growing tirelessly. Now a new model is coming that is actually becoming very attractive. It is offered at a very low price and has a larger than average battery. However, one detail has not yet been clarified.

Xiaomi Poco C40 celebrates global launch

The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is launching a new budget cell phone with the Poco C40. After the introduction in Vietnam, where the cell phone from the equivalent of 140 euros sold, the smartphone is now also listed for the global market on Poco’s website (source: Poco). This suggests that cell phones will be coming to us in the foreseeable future. The price should be similarly low. But the equipment is impressive.

The biggest The highlight of the Poco C40 from Xiaomi is definitely the 6,000 mAh battery. The smartphone should easily offer several days of runtime. The battery can be charged with up to 18 watts, although Xiaomi only includes a 10 watt power adapter. So you can’t use the full potential if you don’t own or buy a more powerful power supply. Other features include a 6.71-inch display with HD+ resolution, a rather unknown “JLQ JR510” processor with eight cores, which has up to 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. The latter can be expanded by up to 1 TB using a microSD card.

Additional features include a 13 MP dual rear camera, a 5 MP front camera, a fingerprint sensor, dual SIM function and even IP52 certification. The smartphone is at least somewhat protected against dust and water. However, the cell phone is not waterproof compared to high-end smartphones. The operating system is Android 11 and MIUI 13.

Is the Xiaomi Poco C40 coming to Germany?

Since the smartphone is listed on Xiaomi’s global website, one can assume that the Poco C40 will come to Germany in the foreseeable future. When exactly that will be the case is not known. But since Xiaomi is constantly releasing new cell phones, it shouldn’t take too long.
