Unfortunately, not much is known about the successor to the Poco F3 so far, but together with the launch announcement, Poco also revealed a detail. The F4 GT will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, which is currently one of the most powerful processors on the smartphone market.

So we could expect a real price-performance hit. The cheapest cell phone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor to date is the Nubia Redmagic 7 at 629 euros. If Xiaomi bases the Poco F4 GT on the entry-level price of the Poco F3, the price of the Nubia cell phone could be significantly undercut again. The Poco F3 went on sale in 2021 for 349 euros.

Poco’s first IoT product

In addition to the F4 GT, Poco also wants to announce a first Internet of Things (IoT) product at the event. This means devices in everyday life that are networked with each other and are therefore intended to make everyday life easier. A teaser image on the website suggests that it could be a smartwatch. We won’t find out more until Tuesday.

It is also worth taking a look at the Poco event for fans of the role-playing game Genshin Impact, because the manufacturer announces on its website that there will also be a first tailor-made product for the game. What this is about remains to be seen.
